People used to say “Guide dogs and other types of assistance dogs”, but they are all assistance dogs. Judith Jones explained that people had many different ideas and Peter had done an excellent job creating a cohesive team and ending up with an agreed document. The Terminology working group was formed first, because everyone involved needed to use the same terminology. Co-operation is taking place with many stakeholders such as the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF) and the ANEC consumer organisation.
